Higuys. So I changed my oil and filter about 4.5 k ago. About 1000 miles into the change I reset the oil light and service interval. Anyway a few days ago the oil change light has re appeared and it has only been 4.5 k since the change and about 3.5k since I actually reset the light itself.

Perhapsthe Dealership should have taken a sample and sent it off to Blackstone. Perhaps it really is best (to help assure the proper function of solenoid #4, and the $1000. assembly) to change the oil at 5k, or 8k. Maybe it would be best for the engine (the parts that rely on oil lubrication) as a whole to change the oil at 5k, or 8k.
Alfamaintenance spec calls for replacing a GTV6 timing belt every 30K miles. But that doesn't take into account low mileage driving habits. My GTV6 only sees about 2K miles a year, thus would take 15 years before reaching the timing belt replacement interval which is obviously too long. I've read on other forums that it should be replaced
